What VoteaDate does
VoteaDate lets people make a poll to choose an event date, share it by link, and email an invite to their group. It's free, and we may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 to use VoteaDate. If you create a poll, you must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
Your private links
There are no passwords. Anyone who has your management link can change or delete your poll, so keep it private. Anyone with your poll's link can see it and vote. You're responsible for who you share them with.
Emailing your group
Only enter the addresses of people you know, who would expect to hear from you about the event. Sending invites to strangers or to purchased lists isn't allowed. We limit how many emails each poll can send, and we may delay or refuse them.
What you put in a poll
You're responsible for what you enter. You keep any rights you have in it, and you allow us to store and show it as needed to run the site.
Acceptable use
Please don't use VoteaDate to:
- Break the law or infringe someone else's rights.
- Harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
- Send spam, scams, hateful content or links meant to mislead people.
- Collect sensitive information, such as payment, health or government ID details.
- Disrupt the site, get around its limits, or access it with bots.
We may remove polls or block access if we believe these terms have been broken.
Events and other people
We don't organize, attend or check any event, and we aren't responsible for what happens there, or for whether people come on the date chosen.
Polls are temporary
Polls are deleted 60 days after their last date, and they can't be recovered after that. VoteaDate isn't a place to keep long-term records.
Links to other sites
VoteaDate may link to other websites or products, including BringaList. We aren't responsible for sites we don't control.
No warranty
VoteaDate is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always work, be error-free, or keep your data, or that emails will arrive.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll post the new version here and update the date above. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict of law rules.
